Timeless Love

Staring out the window at a silent sky,
a salmon tinged moon and a whispering tide.
As it caresses the sand covering the bleach floor,
it charms the night, building shadows on the shore.

Reflections unmoored, thoughts travel a bit,
to a season in time when I once was content.
Reliving love and its many looming possibilities,
taking chances on you while giving all of me.

Tampered weak emotions ignite fresh rhapsody,
masking muted bliss, my past love miseries.
Times when you were my world and I was your love,
a story book type of love, a 1950s movie type of love.

Our hearts were ingrained, none short of supply,
we belonged together as stars befitting the sky.
Soft hands and gentle lips, our hearts once ceded,
bearing silent confessions of our innermost secrets.

Kisses so strong, though massaged my deepest wounds,
while I’d coddle your tattered heart, freeing love to resume.
Moments cloning many lifetimes of unquestionable bliss,
I’d die in those moments than live 1000 years apart your kiss.

Timeless Love

Liberation

Do you ever just feel like running away from everything? Sometimes I just want to gather everything that will fit into a duffle bag and just hitting the road; not telling anyone…just leaving. I wouldn’t inform my disinterested family or my dead-end job or my preoccupied friends or even my inattentive boyfriend…I would just leave.

Then I ask myself, would anything change? Will I completely be unchained?
